At the NAB Show in Las Vegas, the biggest broadcasting trade show worldwide, Lawo became partner of the 3IT. Professor Thomas Wiegand, head of Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute met Philipp Lawo, CEO of Lawo at his booth to sign the contract.
Lawo is happy to use the 3IT platform to present and discuss their development of innovative broadcast products with a focus on sustainable audio and video over IP solutions with other professionals of the industry and to encourage the transfer of knowledge in this field. Philipp Lawo stated that the 3IT is “the ideal place to get in contact with industry participants, political institutions and research institutes and to present the newest video over IP technologies. Our products ensure a reliable transition into the full IP based production environment and are based on open standards e.g. SMPTE 2022-6 or VSF TR-03/04.”
On 31 August, 2016 the Lawo coorporation is going to host an event on “IP in broadcasting” at the 3IT, including speakers from Lawo and other technology partners.
Professor Thomas Wiegand added: “We are very glad to welcome Lawo as an innovative German manufacturer of the broadcasting sector. The IP Core System that the company presented at the NAB Show is yet another example for the technological leadership of Lawo, their advanced products are known and distributed globally. Future events that Lawo will be participating in are definitely going to promote an intensive and insightful exchange.”
