TOA – Tech Open Air 2017 Berlin

In 2012 a couple of people from Berlin’s start-up scene came together to create a new kind of festival with the intention to build a bridge between technology, music, art and science worlds. This year TOA is taking place at Funkhaus Berlin, 11 – 14 July 2017. Don’t miss the diverse conference that includes various formats like presentations, Think Tanks and even morning meditations.

It is the world’s first crowdfunded festival and is therefore part of the leading interdisciplinary technology festivals in Europe. People from different disciplines invest their time in this festival to pass on their knowledge and passion to others.

TOA will also host over 200 unique satellite events all across the city. They allow participants to take over the festival and transform Berlin’s creative community into an interactive hub for tech. Attendees get the chance to talk to leading experts, as well as creating their own products in 3D printing workshops and more. On Friday, 14 July 2017, a satellite event will also take place at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute.

Fraunhofer HHI showcases its collaboration platforms and showrooms, where you can experience the latest innovations in Smart and Big Data and Immersive Imaging Technologies like VR, AR and 360° panoramas. The tours include the Smart Data Forum, TiME Lab, the 3IT and the VR experience Human Body Reconstruction including a little Q&A with drinks and light snacks.
