Year of the Monkey – The Innovation Festival Will Rock Munich on 21 April 2016

Festival rather than conference? People instead of job titles and suits? In one simple day we will experience Year of the Monkey’s international inspiration, from bestseller authors, tech enthusiasts, digital leaders, neuroscientists to creative mavericks and base jumpers.

Topics include connected cars, IoT/ wearables, human/computer interface, mindfulness, future of media/work and education. The monkey loves to experiment, test out new business models and gain knowledge. This will be the spirit of the festival in Munich with many interactive workshops, new business models and science fiction gadgets to touch.

Also Paul Chojecki from Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute will give a presentation on “Space and other Frontiers in the Future of Human-Computer Interaction”. It is going to be about how users can control advanced digital systems in the future, that continue to make inroads into almost all aspects of our lives. He is going to discuss the chances and challenges of post-WIMP (windows, icons, menus, pointers), multimodal and particularly spatial human-computer interfaces and present examples of current interaction solutions for digitally transformed scenarios.

Year of the Monkey will finish the day with an Australian barbecue, camp fires and a beer in a cosy environment.
